Jesus on Memorial Day

Just before he sacrificed his life for you and me, Jesus summed up the best thought for Memorial Day…

No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:13

We need to think about all the men and women who have sacrificed their lives for our freedom. Unlike Jesus, most are unknown except to family and friends.

This is a day to say a prayer of thanks to all have given so much for us. Let’s remember them in a special way this Memorial Day.

Pray for Oklahoma!

No heady religious talk; only a simple request. Pray for Oklahoma! Those in Moore, Oklahoma have lost so much in the way of lives and property. They need to bury their dead, including children. Then, they need to rebuild their town and their lives.

Please stop today several times and think of them in prayer. Tap into that love that God flows into you and release it to all those in Moore, They need that love, and the strength that comes from it, to move ahead.

Thanks!!!

I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Mom and a Blessing

This is the first Mother’s Day without my mom. I know she is in a far better place. God said it was time back in October. I thank her for all that she has done, including the little fact that without her I am not alive.

If we take away the mothers we stop to exist as a people. Think about that for a few minutes. Without the mothers we don’t go on. So, let’s at least today remember that and treat our moms extra special. They deserve it.

Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her.
Proverbs 31:28

May all of the mothers out there be blessed this day and all the days to come. Thank you for being you!

Quote

Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders; make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how to answer everyone.
Colossians 4:5-6

Have a GREAT day, especially in your dealings with others! Just thought this verse would help.
