With a little faith you can move mountains!

“Truly I tell you, if you have faith and do not doubt, not only will you do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, ‘be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ it will be done.” Matthew 21:21

Noah, Abraham, Joseph, Moses, Peter, and Paul. Saved mankind from destruction, fathered a people under God, saved the same people, led the people out of captivity to the Promised Land, was the rock of a new church of people, and brought the message of God to all peoples. They did all this with one simple thing: faith. There are many more stories of those who through faith did amazing things.

And what more should I say? For time would fail me to tell of Gideon, Bar’ak, Samson, Jeph’thah, of David and Samuel and the prophets—who through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, obtained promises, shut the mouths of lions, quenched raging fire, escaped the edge of the sword, won strength out of weakness, became mighty in war, put foreign armies to flight. Hebrews 11:32-34

Did these people start out as extraordinary? No. Were they perfect? No. Did they have doubts? Yes. However, when they acted in faith they were one with God and did amazing things in the name of God.

If you truly believe in God, you have to believe in the awesome, infinite power of God. You have to believe that God can do anything.

God created us for perfection, in his own perfect, eternal image. Each one of us has God, our Creator, in us.

God created us for incorruption, and made us in the image of his own eternity. Wisdom 2:23

If we act by placing all of our faith in God, without any doubt, we can do anything.

“Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, ‘Be taken up and thrown into the sea,’ and you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you.” Mark 11:23

The problem is that we let doubt get in the way. Our trust in this world—the things we can see, touch, and hear—gets in the way of trusting God. Trust in the world overwhelms trust in God.

As much as we believe, or want to believe in God, this earth always pulls us back to what we can see, touch, and hear. The essence of true faith is trusting in what we can’t see, touch, or hear. It is trusting in God at all times, in all circumstances, and going all in with him by pouring out our hearts to him.

Trust in him at all times, O people; pour out your heart before him; God is a refuge for us. Psalm 62:8

Have a “mountain” in your life that you want to move? If you let doubt get in the way, I guarantee beyond all guarantees that you won’t move it. But if you have faith, I guarantee that you will move the “mountain.”

Today, try letting go and letting God work through you. Pray for help and remember this little phrase—Let go, let God. But you really have to “let go” and “let God” for it to work. Faith isn’t a genie lamp that you rub to make your wish come true. You have to put the work in but that work starts by trusting God.

Go move some mountains! You can do it. BELIEVE!
