The Day the Lord Has Made

Every day should be a GREAT day—not just the good ones. That’s because God made every day to be GREAT, regardless of our circumstance or mood.

I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10

Think about this for a minute—God doesn’t make bad days. We do. God wants every day to be “heaven” but we let some be “hell.” We let our emotions rule the day and let others take our joy. We blame others for the bad days but the blame is entirely with us.

I know this is tough medicine because every day isn’t always a great day. It’s hard to smile inside and out when things aren’t going our way. But if you “let go, let God” into your life the joy will follow. Every day will get brighter and more promising. That’s because every day is created by God and filled with endless promise. We should rejoice in every new day.

This is the day the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

I know you are busy but take a few moments today to get in touch with God. Feel him in your life. Look at a sunrise or sunset. Smell a flower. Share a smile with someone you don’t know. Let go, let God.
