No, this is not the name of some band. It’s about me screwing up all the time. As Paul said in so many words, I know what I’m supposed to do but screw up all the time.
Jesus doesn’t give us a free pass to screw up (sin). But He did die for all our sins (screw ups) by pinning them to the cross. They are all there. You just have to ask for forgiveness—and really mean it—and do your best to not screw up again. That’s the key. You have to really want forgiveness and really, really do your best to not sin again.
Life is a process and screwing up is part of that process. Yes, I repeat the same screw up over and over again. But I sincerely ask for forgiveness and do my best, try my best to not screw up again.
Jesus is there to help us stop the screw ups. We just need to reach out to Him and ask for help. If that sounds simple, it is. God means life to be so simple but we are the ones who complicate it. We screw up!
Remember that your screw ups are pinned to that cross. A cross that lives on forever.
Ask for forgiveness and mean it!
