I don’t take cancer (the disease) lightly as I run a national cancer practice network. I live in the world of cancer. So, when I term “negative thinking” as a cancer it’s because it’s the best description there is. Negative thinking spreads like a cancer.
I used to be the king of negative thinking. I would concoct outcomes in my mind that were always negative. Negative thinking ruled my thoughts. And they spread like a cancer. That’s the power of negative thinking.
I now do my best to rule out all negatives in my life. I look back every day and try to identify situations and people where I had negative thoughts. Of course, turning to Jesus, the model of positive thinking, helps crowd out any negative thoughts.
Push those positive thoughts to the forefront in your life and work on crowding out the negative ones. It takes a bit of work but it’s life changing.
Let positive thinking rule the day! And enjoy the positive life that follows.
