Repeat after me: Don’t anyone steal your joy! Hang on to your joy like the most valuable gem in the world because it is. You can’t buy joy. It is hardwired into you.
As Jesus tells us, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” (John 10:10). Having life in full is a life of joy. Yes, stuff happens in life to take away our joy. I woke up yesterday feeling joyless for no reason at all.
Life has it’s ups and downs. We don’t always feel joyful. But we can’t let anyone steal our joy. The joy that God hardwired into each one of us and the joy that Jesus came to make sure we have in life.
