Who Do You Work For?

God. Another simple answer to a simple question. Each one of us works for God, who we owe our very existence. God put us here with a very unique, special purpose to fulfill. One of the Secrets to Life is understanding that purpose and fulfilling it. Again, simplicity.

I know it’s not easy to know and understand your unique, special purpose in life. It takes time spending quality time with God on a regular basis. You have to LISTEN to Him. He is less than a heart beat away. You have to put in the time and effort. But like everything in life, working at it will pay rewards.

I know I write this all the time but life is meant to be so simple. We humans just so complicate it just like the Israelites who had an 11-day journey to the Promised Land that took them 40 years. We make the easy hard, the short long, and the possible impossible. God made life easy for us on an abundant planet. We are the ones who make it hard.

You work for God. It’s that simple. He gave you a job to do. So, do it! If each one of us did our job this planet of ours would be so different. We would reach for the stars and get to them.

Think about finding your unique, special purpose in life starting this weekend.

Enjoy!

Who Knows You Best?

God. There. Short and simple. Whoever you think knows you best, including you, the answer is God. He knows you best. The Father Creator made you and gave you a very unique, special purpose in life. He simply knows you best.

God knows your past, your present, and your future. Whether you know it or not, He wove into you a very unique, special purpose in life. Each one of us has that unique purpose, as unique as our fingerprints.

You can’t fool God. He knows you and He knows it all. Understand that and you can really open up to God. LISTEN for and to Him. He is always less than a heart beat away. LISTEN to God and you will find your unique, special purpose in life. You just need to open up to God and LISTEN to Him.

I know this all sounds so very simple but God intends life to be simple. We are the ones who complicate it!

Have a GREAT upcoming weekend!

Power of Negative Thinking

You have heard it said that there is power in positive thinking. Think positive thoughts and positive outcomes follow. Well, I’m here to tell you that there is power—and a LOT of it!—in negative thinking. Negative thinking is like a cancer that spreads until… well until you are in a figurative hole, at best.

The devil (or whatever you call evil in this world) loves to whisper negative thoughts into your ear. The negative thoughts build on each other until you are paralyzed in hatred, fear, or any other negative outcome. Again, negative thinking is a cancer that keeps growing until it crowds out any positive thoughts.

There is a very simple, easy way to stop the negative thoughts. Simply turn to God. He is less than a heartbeat away, always. You just have to turn to Him and ask for help. It’s that easy. Trust me. There is no complexity here. Just simplicity.

Don’t let the negative thinking and its power drag you down. FIGHT it. LISTEN for/to God because He is always there to help. Trust me. Try it. No, try Him.

Have a POSITIVE week ahead. And prayers for all those impacted by the wildfires! My heart goes out to all.

Follow Your North Star

The Wise Men, who were astrologers by trade, followed that they knew best—a star. They followed the North Star as it guided them to Jesus. Whether you know it or not, we all have a “North Star” in our lives that will lead us to Jesus. It’s in our hearts waiting to lead us to Jesus.

Jesus is always there in our lives, not just on Christmas day. He is less than a heartbeat away, just waiting for us to find Him. You just have to quiet your life, reach inside, LISTEN for/to Jesus, and you will find Him.

This isn’t rocket science or religious mumbo-jumbo. It’s just life. Jesus is always there. You just need to turn to Him and follow your own “North Star” to Jesus.

Wishing you a blessed, joyous, and peaceful Christmas!

Start Exercising Your Spirit!

If you don’t know already, you and I are made up of body, soul, and spirit. The body part is obvious. It grows and starts decaying during a lifetime. As the saying goes, “You can’t take it with you.” The soul is made up of your thoughts and emotions. Many (most?) people think it’s the soul that leaves your body when you die. But the soul is tied more to this earth and can be a “place” for dark thoughts. It’s the spirit that is the unvarnished “being” that you become wholly when you die. If you make it to heaven, the spirit is what you are and will be for eternity.

So, start exercising your spirit today. Have your spirit turn to God and block out the darkness in this world, the darkness that may be in your life. LISTEN for/to God because He is “speaking” to you. He’s less than a heartbeat away. You just have to put in the time and effort with God.

The road of life has many twists and turns, and lots of dead ends if you go down them. Tap into your spirit to navigate life and make the right turns. It’s not difficult if you let God into your life—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—and keep Him in your life. The Father created your spirit, free of any earthly (bodily) physical and/or mental limitations. Your spirit was made to be perfect. Jesus died to forgive any of your sins—past-present, and future—if you just confess them. And the Holy Spirit is here to guide your spirit to heaven when the time is right.

Enjoy the week exercising and living in your spirit!

Hope Springs Eternal!

If you lose hope you lose life. But you never should lose hope because God hardwired hope into each one of us. It truly springs eternal in us, for now and forever.

If you lose hope you simply need to turn to God and you will have hope. It’s the hope that you can overcome anything in this life, do anything. That’s the message of hope. It springs eternal!

I know this all sounds too simple but it is. God made us to have simple lives but we complicate them. He is always there for us but we are most often now there for Him.

“Listen! I am standing at the door, knocking; if you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in to you and eat with you, and you with me.” Revelation‬ ‭3‬:‭20‬ ‭

Keep your hope alive. Let God into your life. He keeps the flame of hope lit. Hope that you will realize your purpose in life and the hope that eternity awaits when you depart this earth.

Hope! It springs eternal to eternity.

New Day, New You

It’s not just New Year’s Day, but every day is a new day and a chance to make a new you. If anything is wrong in your life or needs changed, a new day gives you the opportunity to make a new you. You just need to put in the work and effort to change.

There’s no better way to make a new you than to renew your relationship with God. He is always there, less than a heartbeat away, to help you make a new you. You simply have to open up your mind and heart to God. You have to LISTEN for and to Him. You have to spend time with God.

It’s a new week and a new day. What better time to make a new you. It doesn’t matter where you have been in your life or what you have done. There is always the time to course correct in making a new you. It may take some work but it will be worth it in the end.

Open up to God today. He’s there. You just have to be there.

Have a FANTASTIC week ahead being a new you!

Conform or Transform?

Are you a conformist or a transformer? Do you follow everyone else, including down dead ends in life, or are you looking to be different? To transform. Paul’s letter to the Romans says it all:

“Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect” Romans 12:2

The Israelites conformed to each other and wandered the desert for 40 years. They were basically one mindset. They got lost conforming. Unfortunately, that’s what so many of us do today. We conform, even if we conform to be different. That’s why we are basically lost.

Paul nailed it that if you want to get closer to God, to walk the right path in life, you need to transform your mind by renewing it. That way you can start understanding what is not only good and acceptable but what is perfect to God. The world becomes brighter and clearer.

How do you transform by renewing? By listening for and to God. It’s that easy. You just have to make time, and LISTEN with an open mind and heart. That way you will start transforming your mind, and your life along with it.

LISTEN! Renew! Transform!

Do You Know Your God-Given Purpose?

It’s pretty simple. Everyone on the face of this earth has a God-given purpose. God created you and me. He gave us both a special, unique purpose for our lives. We don’t have to be powerful (in the earthly sense), rich, or anything like that. Our purpose is our purpose whatever it is. A Secret to Life is knowing that purpose and realizing it.

God hardwired a purpose into our lives. We just have to understand that purpose and carry it out. And the only way to find that purpose is to spend time with God. He will help us realize the special, unique purpose we each have in life.

I really think that what this life is about is finding our purpose and making whatever we are supposed to do happen. It doesn’t have to be earth-shattering. It’s our purpose and ours to carry out.

Again, there is nothing religious or magical here. It’s just about finding out what our lives are meant to be. Understanding our purpose in life and making sure we fulfill that purpose to the best of our abilities and time in this body and life.

If you want to start understanding your purpose simply LISTEN for/to God. He’s there for the talking.

Guard Your Joy Like The Jewel It Is!

In John 10:10 Jesus says, “I came so that they would have life, and have it abundantly.” Jesus sacrificed Himself so that we may have life, and have it to the fullest. He’s talking about the joy that is hardwired into each of us by our Father Creator. Yes, joy is a part of your DNA. It’s there until you lose it.

Before Jesus said that, he prefaced it with, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy.” He talking about the devil (the thief) who is looking to steal that joy from you. How? By getting you agitated, angry, jealous, and just downright sad. The devil uses other people and situations to pry your joy from you. That’s why you need to guard it like the precious jewel it is.

When my wife tells me that I or someone else makes her feel this way or not my response is, “I can’t make you feel. Only you can make you feel.” Your feelings are yours, not someone else’s. Your joy is your joy, there to guard, knowing that Jesus came to give you life and to live it abundantly.

If you reach within you, your joy is there. If you can’t find it LISTEN for/to God because He is wherever you are. And FIGHT the snares of the devil that take away your joy. Guard it!!!

Have a joy-filled week ahead!
