We Are All Children of God!

Guy takes 10 minutes in the airport security line emptying out the contents of his life from his pockets. Woman talks so loudly on her phone about her life that the whole plane can hear her before taking off. Guy next to me takes his shoes off and the odor is stifling. A lot of people operate in their own worlds oblivious to others around them. Then, there are some who are very aware of others and all they want to do is kill them because of their race, religious beliefs, or some other reason. There is one inescapable fact about everyone—we are all children of God! Period, end of statement. There are no exceptions!

God didn’t create just some of us. He created all of us. Some of us manage to stay on the path back to our Creator. Others fall off the path, get back on, take a wrong turn on occasion, and stumble along. Some fall off and keep falling into the pit of evil. But everyone—each one of us!—is a product of God’s creation.

It’s aggravating when people are so rude, operating in their own worlds. It’s almost incomprehensible when people can kill at will and be so evil. But I come back to the inescapable beginning and end—we are all children of God!

When I find myself getting frustrated with people or downright angry at all the evil in the world today I come back to one point—we are all children of God! I know that sounds way too simply and maybe even sounds like a copout but it’s true. We are all children of God! I repeat it all the time and find myself repeating it more often. It simply helps me to put life into perspective—and to stay on the path back to God.

We so want to judge one another. But we are not the judges of each other. We are the children and God is the judge.

Do not judge, and you will not be judged. Do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Luke 6:37

Thought for the day—WE ARE ALL CHILDREN OF GOD!
