God’s Always Home Waiting

We get lost on occasion. We stray from home. Sometimes we even leave home and squander everything we have been given. But God is always home, waiting for us to come back. In fact, he is less than a heartbeat away. We simply have to come back home to Him.

In some respects, we are all prodigal sons and daughters. We stray in life. We lose direction. But our Father is always there waiting to welcome us back home with open arms. There is no feeling to compare in life if we simply understand that God is always there waiting.

Let us eat and celebrate; for this son of mine was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found. Luke 1523-24

Every time I think I have life figured out and my direction clear, I find myself falling off the path. I stray. Maybe it’s my ego in thinking I have all my issues behind me and nothing will cause me to stray from God. But I do. I can’t explain it except to say that I stray. I get lost. But when that happens I know that God is always there. Like the disciples in the boat in the storm I yell out, “Jesus, help me.” And Jesus is always there to help lead me back home to the Father.

If you find yourself a little lost or simply off course, God is always a heartbeat away. Ask Jesus to help you find your way. “Jesus, help me” always does it for me so I know it will work for you. It works. It’s that simple.

Have a great week and clarity in your life!
