News flash—the devil is real. And he wants you to doubt his very existence, as you are likely doing right now. He works best behind the scenes, loving the fact that people don’t even believe he exists.
The devil doesn’t make you do anything. You are in control of you. However, the devil whispers in all of our ears trying us to get us to do anything that takes us away from God.
The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved. 2 Thessalonians 2:9-10
The devil’s goal is to get us as far away from God as possible. When we lost track of the right way to live—namely, in love—the devil wins and we lose.
There is a lot of evil in the world. Look around. And it is very powerful and corrosive. However, we spread evil; the devil doesn’t. If we don’t FIGHT evil every step, every day we lose our way on God’s path and the devil wins.
Be aware and FIGHT. Keep on God’s path and the devil can’t force you off. Simply walk in love. You’ll be happier, and more fulfilled and at peace.
