In case you don’t know it, Satan is very real. He is not some religious creation made up to scare you to lead a straight and narrow life. And I know you may be feeling doubt right now and may not even want to think about the idea of Satan as a real being. However, Satan is real and is working behind the scenes to steal your happiness, peace, and fulfillment for eternity. He tempted Jesus unsuccessfully, but tempted Judas successfully to hand over Jesus to die.
So when he had dipped the piece of bread he gave it to Judas son of Simon Iscariot. After he received the piece of bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, “Do quickly what you are going to do.” John 13:27
Look around you. Do you think that acts of terrorism and school shootings are the work of God? What motivates people to commit acts of violence?
Look inside yourself—honestly. Are you one with God when you talk about someone behind their back? Is it God whispering in your ear when you think about how much you can’t stand your neighbor? When that voice inside says that you are not good enough, that you will never get to where you aspire, do you think God is behind that voice?
Nothing negative comes from God. God is all-positive. Satan is the exact opposite. He is all-negative.
Satan is very real. He is very much a part of all of our lives. He is as real as God. You don’t need to go far to find him, unfortunately.
Satan is the father of lies. As Jesus said, there is no truth in him; only lies. God wants us to be happy, at peace, and fulfilled for eternity. God tells us that we will not find true happiness, peace, and fulfillment in the things of this world. That is why God calls us. Satan lures us with the hope of happiness, peace, and fulfillment but he actually wants the exact opposite for us. He wants us attached to the things of this world knowing that they will never satisfy—and that we will never find God in the process.
The god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of Christ, who is the image of God. 2 Corinthians 4:4
We need to FIGHT Satan every step of the way—that is a Real Secret to Life—especially if we want a life that is happier, more at peace and fulfilled. Simply knowing that Satan exists and understanding his devious nature is half the battle.
There is no need to live in fear of Satan. Simply keep God in your heart, ask forgiveness when you step off the right path, and stay in constant contact with God. You will know when you misstep on the journey of life because God is always one heart beat away if you simply stay in contact with him.
Don’t let Satan steal that joy that God put in your heart! FIGHT!
