We spend a lot of time in this country taking God out of our lives. I think in 2013 we need to reverse the trend and put God back into our lives. But that doesn’t start with politics at the state or federal level—it starts at home with each one of us.
We need to start by living how God commanded us to live—in love. That means we need to put the focus first on others, not ourselves. We need to get in touch with the love God showers on each of us by flowing that love through us to others. It’s not hard. It starts with a simple smile and some common courtesy. It goes on to being nice to others, even when they are not nice to us. It becomes empowered when we start doing for others the way we want others to do for us—especially others in need.
Each one of us needs to be an ambassador for God. We need to have others look at us and see God. That’s the way we can put God back into our lives. Starting at home.
Resolve to put God back into your life—and the life of others.
Have a blessed, peace-filled, and joyous New Year!
