God is Love

I didn’t say it; John did. God is love (1 John 4:8). Three simple little words that tell everything we need to know about God. And when you add Jesus’ command to us—My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you (John 15:12)—what’s left to question?

I struggle with love all the time. Someone cuts me off in traffic and I feel anything but love. But when we cut God off in our lives he keeps loving us back—no more, no less. We live in a complicated world but it can be simplified with one live verb—LOVE!

It starts with a smile and some well wishes. Try to spread a little love today to EVERYONE you meet. That’s my thought for the day that I will do my best to put into action.

Sound too simple? That’s because it is. God is love. Nothing complicated about that.
