In case you don’t know it, God calls each of us to a special purpose in life—a totally unique, different lifeline that God intends for us to fulfill. We’re not puppets on God’s strings; one of our greatest gifts is a free will to do anything we want. However, our purpose is there right in front of us for us to fulfill or ignore.
I ignored God calling for a very long time. I didn’t think about my purpose in life and certainly didn’t hear God’s call. In fact, the notion of God calling was too far out there and not close to my “reality.” But hear him I did, not in any grand thunderbolt but in the quietest recesses of my life.
I still take a wrong turn on occasion but the road ahead is a lot clearer because I try to listen for and to God. I place all my belief in him.
If you don’t know your calling from God, today is a pretty god day to start listening. God is always less than a heartbeat away inside of you. Just take some time out of your busy life to LISTEN.
