Yes. A resounding YES!!! In fact, you should be thinking, “What a silly question!” If that’s what you’re thinking, sorry for this post. If you had to think about the answer, let me pass on a few thoughts.
God loves you. God loves me. He loves both of us and every other human being who has lived, or who will live, equally. And God loves each of us unconditionally. That means that God does not wait for us to love him before he returns the love. That’s generally how we humans love. God, on the other hand, sets no conditions on his love—it just flows from him. Because, after all, “God is love” (John 4:8).
If you don’t feel God’s love there’s a “stopper” in your life that is hindering the flow of God’s love through you to others. Love is like electricity—it has to flow. God showers us with his love expecting it to flow through us to others. He first handed down tablets with commands about love, then he sent Jesus to reinforce those commands.
“This is my command: Love each other.” John 15:17
There’s obviously not a lot of love flowing around the world these days. So, a lot of people are ignoring the message Jesus delivered, ultimately by his death.
If you don’t know if God loves you, or can’t feel the love, try letting love flow to others. I guarantee that the more you let love flow the more you will feel God’s love for you. Try it. You may just like it.
Have a GREAT day and an even better weekend!
