A friend just gave me a hat that says, “Life is Good.” Truer words have never been spoken, or emblazoned on a hat.
Life is good because God is good. In fact, God is the ultimate good. So, for a God defined by ultimate good to create life that is anything but ultimate good is nonsensical.
I just wrote a few days ago that God intends life to be so simple. Well, he also intends life to be so good. We may not feel well on occasion, and certainly bad stuff can happen around us, but life is inherently good because good is inherently good.
The trick in life is to look beyond the bad feelings or bad stuff. That involves looking for and to God in your life. God is always near, less than a heartbeat away. If you don’t push him away, you can’t help but feel his goodness. It’s the goodness that makes life so good.
Simple and good—that’s how life should be every day. If this sounds way too simple, especially if you are going through some stressful time in your life, that’s exactly how it is meant to be—simple. That’s because God is simple and good, the purest simple and good. If you keep him as near as he is, your life will become simple and good. Yes, it is that simple.
