It’s time to bring Jesus down. Today, not tomorrow. He hangs on that cross to save you and me. It’s time to bring him down so he can rise up in us.
OK. You understand how Joseph of Arimathea physically took Jesus down from the cross and laid his body in the tomb where he rose from the dead. So, how do you take Jesus off the cross? Simple. You do what he commanded. You love.
This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:12-13
You love. It’s that simple. Jesus ended up on the cross to save you and me from the power of sin in this world—from the real evil that lures us away from God. Jesus died for us. That’s how great his love is for us.
We need to love. It starts with a simple smile and turns into caring more about others than yourself, if you let love work in you. Jesus loves us so much that he ended up hanging on a cross for us.
It’s time to take Jesus off the cross. Bring him down today. Not tomorrow. Do what Jesus commanded us to do. His one command—LOVE. Start by bringing Jesus down from the cross and let him work in your heart, then let your heart extend to others. LOVE!
I hope you have a great and blessed week ahead!
