We all have the Spirit of God in us. That’s because God created us. We don’t have to go through some rite to connect with the Spirit in us; we need to do it by action. Here’s the test if you are connected to the Spirit…
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. This is the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22). If you are connected to the Spirit in you these are key principles you strive to live by. They may not always manifest themselves on a daily basis in your actions but there should be at least glimmers of them in action every day.
Look—no one is perfect. And I lead that imperfection list. But if you want to be connected to the Spirit, and have an awesome feeling inside, you need to work at it. When you are connected, the fruit of that connection will be love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control in your life. It’s that simple, like everything else in life should be because God intends our lives to be simple.
With the Spirit of God in us there is nothing we can’t do in life. Being connected to the Spirit smooths out the ruts and bumps in our life. It gives direction and keeps us on the straight and narrow road. If we all were connected to the Spirit the world would be a vastly different place. Heaven would come to earth.
Have a great, connected day!
