If you are looking for peace in your life, “Be still, and know that I am God!” This is a very simple yet very powerful verse (Psalm 46:10). And the most important part of it is the “!” at the end that makes it such an emphatic statement — just stop your world, be still for a few minutes, and know God! You can’t help feel the peace in your life.
When we are looking for peace in our lives is typically the time when peace is so elusive. So, it’s a tough time to stop fretting, slow the motor of worry, and look for God within. But he’s always there.
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1
So, if you’re looking for peace in you life, or just a glimmer of peace, you have to start by stopping your world for just a little bit. Shut out the world as best you can and look within for God. He’s there. He’s always there. When you really give this an honest try you will find peace. It’s a warm, safe feeling that is unmistakable.
“Be still, and know that I am God!”
