We all have a light inside of us. It’s the light of God, who created each one of us in his own image and likeness of love. The world is so dark these days because we keep our light from shining. Let our lights shine and the darkness in the world diminishes. It’s that simple.
Once again, no “religious mumbo-jumbo” intended. This is very practical. The world is a pretty dark place right not. Shootings, bombings, and outright wars. That’s anything but light. We may not think we can do anything about the darkness but we can. We just have to let our lights shine. The lights add up if enough of us let them shine.
How do you let you light shine? You simply walk in love. Start with a smile, then extend a hand, go past that to help someone in need. Love has a powerful light to it. Love, and your light will shine for all to see. It is that simple. But, then again, God means life to be so very simple. He means life to be light, but we complicate and darken it.
Take some time today to check your wattage. Is your light shining brightly or is it dimmed by selfabsorption and even obscured by anger? It’s easy to light up your light by simply loving.
We all need to be lighting up the world before the darkness envelopes us. Do your part today. Let your light shine!
