There are very few people who realize what God would make of them if they abandoned themselves into his hands, and let themselves be formed by his grace.
Saint Ignatius Loyola
We are the clay and God is the sculptor. He can’t form you if you don’t let him. There’s a beautiful, unique piece of art in you but you have to let God work you. That’s not deterministic and saying sit back and don’t do anything. To the contrary it’s saying envision what you want to be, want to do and let God in your life to work with your life.
Clay is a formless blob without the sculptor to shape it. But there is no piece of art if the sculptor has no clay to shape. The two go together—clay and sculptor.
You visualize the piece of art you want to be. Let God in your life to help shape it.
You, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
Isaiah 64:8
Have a beautiful week!
