Easter’s over. We say that, “Jesus Is Risen!” But do we live Jesus is risen? Are we like the two disciples transfixed talking about Jesus so much that we can’t even recognize Jesus walking with us? Like most you probably say, “Of course, I would recognize Jesus if He were walking with me!” But do you know that Jesus will be walking with you today and I bet you don’t recognize Him at all!
If you look at any person around you—and I mean ANY PERSON at all—you should see Jesus. Regardless of status or stature, religious belief, race, or anything else that we believe divides us, Jesus is in every living person. That’s because God made each one of us and Jesus, God’s only Son, lived and died to save each one of us. He is in each of us and if we really look we should see Jesus in any person.
This isn’t some post-Easter “religious” mumbo jumbo. It’s life. In every face you look on today you need to see the face of Jesus. It’s that simple. Start by looking in the mirror, then look at everyone you encounter today. There you will find Jesus.
Don’t walk the talk about Jesus like the two disciples traveling to Emmaus (Luke 24:13-32). Walk the walk and look for Jesus today in every person you encounter. It’s not hard to see Jesus, you just have to try. Start by opening up your heart, then open up your eyes.
