God gave us one, simply, easy command—LOVE! He sent His Son to show us how to LOVE. In a clear lesson on the ultimate in LOVE, Jesus gave His life for all of us. So, why do we have such a difficult time following God’s command to LOVE?
I think we have a tough time loving one another because we are simply too into ourselves. “I” am more important than “you.” “I” need to come before “you.” “My” opinion is more important than “yours.” It’s all about “me!”
Love is all about you! “You” need to trump “me.”
There is growing animosity and downright hatred in the world. We can’t change the world in one full swoop but we can change our world around us. We can tap into the love that God pours into us and let it flow to others. If you don’t feel that love now you are not letting God’s love flow to others. Love is just like electricity—It flows. You can’t possibly feel God’s love for you unless you let love flow out from you to others. The more you let love flow, the more you will feel Go’s love for you.
