God gives us one simple, basic command in life—LOVE. I said it was simple, not always easy. I’m going through a personal situation now where loving is the last thing I feel like doing. I know that God wants me to love the person but I can barely look her in the face, it’s that bad. But God doesn’t give any passes. He asks us to LOVE others just as he LOVES us. No matter what we do, God still LOVES us. So, when someone hurts us, God simply expects us to LOVE.
Once again, I didn’t say that God’s one command to us is easy. I said it was a “simple” command. But God gave that command life when Jesus came to save us from our lack of love. Jesus saved us out of LOVE.
LOVE—there is a reason it is a Secret to Life. God showers His LOVE on us. He expects us to let His LOVE flow through us to others.If LOVE doesn’t flow it is simply not LOVE. It is nothing.
Let some LOVE flow today. You’ll feel God’s LOVE if you let it flow to others. Simple, but not always easy! But it’s what God commands and has backed by His own actions.
