John said it best and very simply—God is love. (1 John 4:8). It could not be simpler. God is pure love—the essence of what love is. There is a reason why we find so little love in the world today. We have shut God out of our lives.
This is all pretty simple stuff. (After all, God means life to be so very simple.) Look around you and there is a reason why there is little love in this world. Because there is little God in the world. And the more we shut God out of the world the more hatred—as manifested by shootings and bombings—will grow in the world.
There is one answer. God. There will always be one answer. God. Bring Him into our lives and our lives will change for the better. Bring Him into more lives and the world will change. But change starts with one person. Be that person.
