Tebow!!! (What’s That About???)

Timothy Richard Tebow. We should all take a lesson from him. He tunes out everything that everyone says about him, follows his own path in life, gives it back by doing a tremendous amount of good, and clearly listens to God. No, Tim Tebow is not a saint, no more than anyone else walking this earth. But he’s a great guy—in stark contrast to all the hate that swirls around him.

How many of us could endure putting ourselves in the national spotlight—who doesn’t know Tim Tebow?—and listening to all the hateful things said about us? And I mean pure hate! I was reading a post on Instagram about Tebow after he hit his first home run in his first game, at the first at bat, and the first pitch in AA ball this week. It’s amazing the hate that gets spewed about him. I don’t know about you but I would have a tough time tuning that all out.

Yet, Tim Tebow keeps doing his thing. Just having fun playing baseball and, in the process, running a foundation that builds hospitals in parts of the world in desperate need, putting on proms for children with special needs, and never holding back thanking God. You don’t have to be a psychologist to understand that a lot of people look in the Tim Tebow mirror and don’t see a pretty picture of themselves. They don’t stack up so they lash out. Jealousy is not a nice picture.

OK, so my daughter says I have a bromance with Tim Tebow. But it’s because we can all take a lesson of following God, giving back, and not really caring what others say about us. What’s important is what God thinks about us—and what we’re doing with our lives.

So, I cheer for Tim Tebow to make it in baseball or whatever he wants to do. And I put my money where my mouth is by giving to the Tim Tebow Foundation. If you’re looking for a great charity, or simply a way to give back, look no further than his foundation.

Go, Tim Tebow, go!!!

I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13

Have a FANTASTIC weekend!!!

If Only More People Were Like Tim Tebow

Time Tebow is a very polarizing person, or so says the media. That’s because people seem to either adore him or loath him—or are jealous, whatever, of him. But what’s clear to me is that if more people were like Tim Tebow the world would be a better place. Why? Because he’s caring, goes out of his way for others, follows his dreams, and shuts out negativity. And in all that, he’s humble!

We live in a world of so many bad role models for our kids. Tim Tebow is a great role model.

One additional thought… Let’s take time this Memorial Day weekend to remember the heroes who laid down their lives for our freedom! Enjoy!!!

Love Jesus, Love Others

When we love Jesus and we love people, we are going to make a difference and make an impact. Tim Tebow

Sorry for the Tim Tebow overdose, but he has a lot of good insight. This quote is from a recent talk he gave on unity.

God gave us one simple command in life: LOVE! The question is how well do we follow that command? Good question to evaluate your life.

Have a great rest of the weekend. Try living it in LOVE. That’s a key Secret to Life.

If You Won’t Listen to Me, Listen to Tim Tebow!

Christian athlete Tim Tebow has challenged Christians to change the world by loving Jesus and every single person they come in contact with. Read it here.

As I write all the time—LOVE!!! It’s what God commands us to do. The only thing He commands us to do.

Want to change the world? Try Love. If you won’t listen to God, or just me, listen to Tim Tebow. Great message!!!

Why People Rail Against Tim Tebow

Look, I don’t know whether Tim Tebow is an NFL quarterback. I do know that, regardless of his “throwing mechanics,” all Tim Tebow has done his entire life is win games as a quarterback. But people, especially the sports writers, love to rail against Tim Tebow. Not just because of his ability to play quarterback in the NFL but because he truly lives his Christianity. And that makes a lot of people very uncomfortable. Continue reading “Why People Rail Against Tim Tebow”

Gotta Love Tim Tebow!

We need more Tim Tebows in this world. I’m sure he’s not a saint—we all have our demons—but he seems to do the right thing. In this case, bringing some joy to a young woman who has struggled with a terrible disease since she was 15. When some NFL owner gets the courage, and wisdom, to put Tim Tebow on his team, that team will win—just like every other team Tim Tebow has played on since pony league. In the meantime, it’s great to see the joy Tim Tebow spreads. Check it out here.
