Let me wish all of you reading this a very Happy New Year! May you have a blessed, healthy, and prosperous 2014. New Year’s Day holds so much promise for new beginnings. My resolution this year is to make every day New Year’s Day. That’s right—every day!
The road of life has twists, turns, and bumps along the way. That’s life! However, if you keep God at the center of your life, every day will turn out being a great day. That’s because God puts everything in such clear perspective for us. As I have written on many occasions, God means life to be so simple. We are the ones who complicate it. God’s mercy and grace are such that every nanosecond is a new beginning for us. I’m starting out looking at every new day as the start of a new beginning—a New Year’s Day—with all possibilities in front of me.
In order to make this happen, I try to live my life by 7 Secrets to Life—LISTEN, READ, LOVE, FIGHT, BELIEVE, LIVE, and PRAY. They are simple little words for a life that should be so very simple. They give me a guidepost to keep God at the center and to help avoid the severe twits, turns, and bumps. I’ll tweet and blog about them all year for your benefit, as well as my own. I hope my thoughts help.
