God Is Color Blind. Are You? Really?

God doesn’t see black, white, yellow, red, or any other skin tone. He sees inside to your heart. So, he knows if you are color blind deep inside. You’re not fooling him.

Obviously, the news focus the past week has been on the terrible comments made by the NBA Clippers’ owner. But what’s not in the news is discrimination on a daily basis all across the United States, especially by so-called but not really “christians” (lower case “c” was intentional because they are not real Christians).

One of the best verses in the Bible about discrimination is 1 Samuel 16:7 when the Lord said to Samuel, “The Lord does not see as mortals see; they look on the outward appearance; but the Lord looks on the heart.”

Jesus stopped to converse with the Samaritan woman even though the Jews and Samaritans were anything but friends, But then again Jesus lived a life of sacrifice and, before he died for each one of us, commanded us to love one another. And there are no caveats to that command about only loving those with skin color that you like.

It’s a good heart check to see if you are really color blind. Just keep in mind that God knows what’s really inside of you. That’s because God looks on the heart!

Real Christians are color blind. It’s that simple!
