My heart goes out to the people of Paris as they try to recover from the horrific, evil attacks of 11/13. I pray that they somehow rally and unite against the darkness that has fallen on the city of lights. This is a time for prayer, especially for the victims and their families, but also a time to embrace God to help us stop the evil that is darkening the world.
Evil men and impostors will proceed from bad to worse, deceiving and being deceived.
2 Timothy 3:13
As we let God slip out of our lives, evil is winning. This is a time to find God again in our lives and let His light shine on the darkness. There will be repercussions for what happened in Paris yesterday, and an escalation of the wars (and I mean plural “wars”) in the Middle East. However, this starts and ends with God in our lives. And the sooner we get that into our heads, and that each of us has a role to play, the sooner we will start rolling back the evil tide. And, yes, it is that very simple!
Vive la France! May God be with you—and all of us!
No, sorry i dont mean to come across as cold hearted. My hurt and anger goes as deep as in anyone else, but I cant agree with the idea of holding on to the ancient wishfull thinking in a time like these. This is at the very core of the issue. Religion as a hole. Just by quoting some goodhearted verses isnt goning to solve this issue. Its a religious motivated struggle and the answear isnt more religion. It only has to be less.
That is the problem — I am not talking about “religion.” After all, what is “religion” anyway? I am talking about loving, which starts with each of us. God is love, not religion. He commanded us to do one simple thing — love. And the more we get away from God and loving the darker the world gets. Fact. Not religion. Have a great day!
Yeah i understand the underlining idea. But where did you get God=love from?
“God is love” (1 John 4:16). Also, talk to (or read about) anyone who has a near-death experience and they will tell you God is love. And if you just think about it, If there is a God and He is not 100% unconditional love (and forgiveness) we would be all wiped off the face of the earth because we throw back in his face his one clear command for us to love. Enjoy the fest of the weekend!
