That’s exactly what we are doing on this planet, starting with this country. We are going it alone without God. Who needs God anyway? All we need is more money, more guns, more heroin, more, more, and more. Another shooting yesterday, more juvenile, hateful behavior from self-professed Christians vying for the most powerful position on the planet, and a general movement away from God. No wonder the world is so screwed up!
We truly are living life forgetting God. What’s more important is all the things around us and accumulating more of them. We are taking that split in the road of life away from God and the results are showing. The world gets darker every day. Sorry to be so gloomy but it’s true. We are going it alone. Without God.
If you want to see what happens read the Old Testament about the Israelites roaming the desert for 40 years to travel a distance that should have taken 11-12 days. They fought with God all the way leaving Him behind in the desert dust. They complained all the way, and bowed down to golden objects rather than listening to God. Some think this is some old fairy tale but it’s the story of our lives right now. That’s why God gave us the Old Testament. As a heads up what the road ahead looks like without Him.
There is only one way out of this desert we are wandering. God. We have to LISTEN for/to God and LIVE life with God. It’s that simple. We either go with God in our lives and find the Promised Land of our lives or we walk down the fork away from God and watch life getting darker and darker. Just like the world is getting.
Each of us has a choice in our lives. Change starts one person at a time.
