It can’t be any clearer—“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10). Those are Jesus words to us. So simple but so meaningful. He’s telling us to relax; He’s got this. Why we get so down, wander around looking for answers, and complicate life is beyond me.
Jesus came to save us—especially from ourselves! He came that we may have an abundant life while on this earth. A simple life. All we have to do is rely on Him and follow His lead. His lead? LOVE. Pretty simply.
But we manage to complicate life. We leave Jesus in the dust of the deserts we wander. We think more about ourselves than others. We look for answers in all the wrong places, never finding them. We accumulate emotions like a hoarder’s house overflowing with junk.
Want to live life abundantly and simplify it in the process? Start reading what Jesus said and did. Start loving. Let go of all the emotions, starting with any hatred in your life. Look first to others rather than yourself. Try to make the world around you a better place. RELAX!
Sound way too simple. You bet it is! But it works. God designed a very simple life for us on earth. We are the ones who complicate it. So, uncomplicate the complicated in your life. LISTEN to Jesus, in word and action!
Have a great day and even better relaxing weekend!
If he tells us to relax and throw our worries our emotions then why was i let go twice from a job and i can’t find another
sporty…
yes, no, wait… Milk Jug!! but seriously, don’t ‘rely on jesus’for anything in this life that is important. you’ll just be disappointed. I hope you find work. i know what it’s like to be out of work and afraid you won’t find another. it’s not fun and and it’s not fair or kind to oversimplify the situation and tell someone going thru it to just ‘Let Go and Let God… Jesus has got this’. I don’t know you, but i’m sure that “You’ve got This” and will find another job soon. don’t stop believing in yourself and working hard to get where you want to go. Jesus isn’t going to ‘get this’, you are. and when you do, he won’t deserve any of the credit or praise… YOU will.
