Finding Our Lost God

Look at the world: God is Lost. Meaning, we have lost God. God never loses us. We lose God. Look at Brussels today, Paris yesterday, the world in general. We have lost God. Worse yet, we have shut God out of our lives. And as we shut the door more on God we shut out the light in the world. The result is that world is getting darker. Not my speculation. Look around you. Fact.

Reporting on a new study shows that fewer Americans believe in God and pray. We have a culture where God is being shut out of our lives. God doesn’t sell anymore. Sex, guns, and violence sell. We are heading down a dark hole and the results show in what is happening in this country and abroad.

Want to see where this goes? Pick up the Bible and read about the Israelites wandering aimlessly in the desert for 40 years and facing all types of disease and pestilence along the way. Arguing and complaining as they went. That’s not some outdated fairytale. That’s us thousands of years later. For real.

The only way we change is one person at a time. You and me. If there is ever a time of year to re-find God in our lives it’s the time leading to Easter. Thinking about a God so very much above us but who came among us to die and sacrifice Himself for all of our sins. A God who loves us uncontrollably and unconditionally, not matter how much we shut Him out of our lives.

It’s time to let God, and the light, back in our lives. There’s a Resurrection coming on Easter but there’s also one coming today in our lives if we let God back in. Let Him in!

Want to change a world spinning our of control? Want to stop wandering in the deserts of our lives? Let God back in. He’s a heartbeat away. You just need to open up your mind and heart, and He is there.

Have a great day!
