Pray Big Today!

Read this In the Company of Prayer and thought it was a good thought for the day:

“One of my most inspiring friends was the late Harlowe B. Andrews of Syracuse, one of the best businessmen and competent spiritual experts I ever knew. He said the trouble with most prayers is that they aren’t big enough. ‘To get anywhere in faith,’ he said, ‘learn to pray big. God will rate you according to the size of your prayers.’ Doubtless he was right, for Scripture says ‘According to your faith be it unto you.’ (Matthew 9:29)” Dr. Norman Vincent Peale, The Power of Positive Thinking

Have a GREAT day and an even better week!

God Half Full or Half Empty?

The answer is neither. You are God total full. As full as you can get. God made you. God is in you. Up to the brim. You just may not know it or acknowledge it. But God does—if you let Him. Continue reading “God Half Full or Half Empty?”

Harnessing the Power of God

God created you. God is in you. God is woven into your very fabric. So, it stands to reason that you can do anything if you just BELIEVE that God is not only in you but is also behind you pushing. As Mets pitcher Tug McGraw years ago immortalized, “Ya Gotta Believe!” Of course, he was talking about baseball. I am talking about life. But the same words hold true—Ya Gotta Believe!!!

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.” Matthew 17:20

Doubt is the universal cancer eating away at your amazing potential in life. I guarantee that almost all reading this now have doubts. “I can’t move mountains.” “That’s silly.” “I can’t do this or that.” Well, I beg to differ. BELIEVE and let it wipe all doubt away. You can move mountains. It’s all about harnessing that power of God in you. It’s in you!

Have a great week. Let belief rule this week, wiping all doubt away. And move some mountains!!! I know you can. Better yet—God knows you can and will if you just BELIEVE!

Reason Why Jesus is Savior

Simply because the world needs saving. Jesus came to save and we need saving more so than ever. Look around the world. Yes, it’s pretty dark out there but hope springs eternal. That’s the promise and hope—always amazingly bright beyond imagination—of Jesus. Just turn to His light.

So many in this day and age think Jesus is some religious mumbo-jumbo fictitious figure. He’s not. He’s real and is your personal savior. You simply have to turn to Him. It’s that simple. Remember—life is simple. We are the ones who complicate it.

Come to me, all of you that are weary and are carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
Matthew 11:28

Don’t ever forget that. Need rest? Need saving? Need anything? Turn to Jesus.

And have a FANTASTIC day!!!

If You Won’t Listen to Me, Listen to Tim Tebow!

Christian athlete Tim Tebow has challenged Christians to change the world by loving Jesus and every single person they come in contact with. Read it here.

As I write all the time—LOVE!!! It’s what God commands us to do. The only thing He commands us to do.

Want to change the world? Try Love. If you won’t listen to God, or just me, listen to Tim Tebow. Great message!!!

Are You a Disciple?

If you are a true disciple following Jesus, the test is pretty simple. Do you love? That’s it. Do you love everyone around you? And this is not me talking. It’s Jesus…

By this all will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:35

Love. As the song goes, it makes the world go around. And if you are a true disciple of Jesus (it’s called being a “Christian”) you have to love. Hate and you follow someone else (hint: look down). Love and you follow Jesus.

Have a great day. And don’t forget to love!

Jesus’ Last Moments: Lifetime of Emotions

There is a lifetime of emotions in Jesus’ last 24 hours or so on this earth. He agonized in the garden about bearing the weight of the world. He felt intense physical pain as he was beaten. He was mocked and humiliated. He needed help carrying His cross. And he died. Torment, pain, humiliation, helplessness, and death. We may not feel all these emotions in our lives but I bet that most of us do at some time or another. Certainly, it’s a 100% lock that we will all eventually face death. What Jesus gives us is that hope that we can fight through emotions because he took them all on His shoulders to death. Continue reading “Jesus’ Last Moments: Lifetime of Emotions”

Less God, More Chaos

It’s pretty simple: The less God there is in this world the more chaos we see around us. As we push God out of our lives bad things happen. The world gets darker and we get lost. Wars, shootings, and downright hatred on the streets. That’s defining our world today because we choose to push God away. When you extinguish a light you are left with darkness. Simple. Continue reading “Less God, More Chaos”

What Jesus Said About Guns

“Put your sword back into its place. For all who take the sword will perish by the sword.” Matthew 26:52

Substitute the word “sword” with “gun.” Jesus was pretty clear in what He said. And he’s speaking to us as we are perishing from guns.

Once again, pretty simple. Then again, God made life to be so very simple. We are the ones who complicate it.

God is Love—Which is Why There is Little Love in This World.

John said it best and very simply—God is love. (1 John 4:8). It could not be simpler. God is pure love—the essence of what love is. There is a reason why we find so little love in the world today. We have shut God out of our lives. Continue reading “God is Love—Which is Why There is Little Love in This World.”
