Shout the Devil Out of Your Life

It’s that simple. Want to get rid of that temptation in your ear? Simply shout out the devil. Yes, move closer to God and the closer you get the farther the demons will be in your life. However, nothing is more effective that shouting out the devil from your life. Jesus cast the devil out. So, if it works for Jesus I say it works for me.

No one really likes to talk about the devil or demons. That talk is too spooky, better left to horror movies. Unfortunately, the devil is real and there are demons behind the scenes. That doesn’t mean you walk life afraid. It simply means you know the reality of life and how to handle it. Like life itself, God means everything to be so very simple. Give a shout, get rid of the devil. Move closer to God and the less influence the devil has in your life.

Have a great day!

LOVE is Our Bridge to God

Life is this very simple; no matter how we complicate it. Want to get closer to God? Simple—LOVE! God is love (1 John 4:16) so if you want to get closer to him you have to be love. Its a bridge to God. The more you LOVE the farther you will move across the bridge. On one side of the bridge are all the complications of life on earth. On the other side is God. The more you LOVE the father you get away from the complications. Continue reading “LOVE is Our Bridge to God”

Most Profound Bible Verses Are The Simplest!

“What are you looking for?” Jesus asks the two disciples who were following him (John 1:38). What a profound question to ask yourself. What are you looking for in life? What’s important; what’s not? A very simple Bible verse that packs a real punch if you really sit down and ponder it. That’s the thing about the Bible, which can seem old, stale, and complicated at times: The simplest is the most profound! Continue reading “Most Profound Bible Verses Are The Simplest!”

You May Not Think You Are Special & Unique, But God Sure Does!

When God made you He threw away the mold. Even the closest of twins are totally unique. You are so very special in the eyes of God. And totally, absolutely unique. As such, you have a very unique purpose in life. Not some preordained, puppet-on-a-string purpose in life where God walks the path for you and pulls the strings. But a free choice purpose that God has designed and is yours to realize and fulfill—all out of your own free will.

The key to life is understanding your unique purpose in life and to live life to the fullest towards that purpose. Regardless of how small or insignificant that purpose may seem to you, it is monumental in God’s eyes. However, you will never understand your real purpose in life if you don’t LISTEN to/for God. Life is that very simple! Continue reading “You May Not Think You Are Special & Unique, But God Sure Does!”

Falling Back on the Secrets to Life

I try to look at my life each day but life tends to get in the way. Meaning, the chaos of my professional and personal “lives” tends to drown out the daily look back on where I have been and where I am heading in life. That’s part of the problem as I look back on 2015 and try to plot a course ahead for 2016. That’s why I find myself falling back on the Secrets to Life—and I mean the Real Secrets to Life. Continue reading “Falling Back on the Secrets to Life”

2016: No Time for God!

The New Year has started with a bang for me. Vacation time followed by a hectic business schedule. Trying to tread water and juggle everything. But in the process I realized that I left God behind. There has simply been no time for Him! Continue reading “2016: No Time for God!”

My New Year’s Resolution: Me or God?

I have a very simple New Year’s resolution for 2016. I am going to answer the question of what my life is about—me or God? Who’s will guides my life—mine or God’s? Am I living just for me or for God? The answers may sound easy but it’s all in the execution. Talk is cheap. Actions speak a thousand words. Me or God? Continue reading “My New Year’s Resolution: Me or God?”

Silence is Especially Golden at Christmas

May you find silence in your life, especially at Christmas.

The Silent Night was a holy night. All was calm, Bethlehem slept. In silence He came to Mary. In silence He comes to us, when we are free of the noise of men and from the desires that tempt our human nature. His wondrous gift to man was given in the stillness of the night. For silence is “the virtue of the strong, the refuge of the weak, the modesty of the proud and the prudence of the wise.” Silence is a preface to prayer; it is the prologue to progress, it is a prerequisite of peace. Be still my soul that I may hear Him in the silence of the Christmas night.
A poem by Arthur Storz

Have a joyous Christmas!!!

The Lord’s Prayer — Nourish, Forgive & Deliver

Jesus taught us how to pray. Commonly referred to as The Lord’s Prayer, it was Jesus’ gift to us before He gave up His life for us. After praising God, the “ask” in the prayer of God can be summed up in 3 words—Nourish, Forgive, and Deliver. Simple. Continue reading “The Lord’s Prayer — Nourish, Forgive & Deliver”
