Positive thinking has a lot of power. That’s because God wants you thinking positively. Nothing—and I mean NOTHING—negative comes from God. However, negative thinking has even more power. That’s because it grows like a cancer, starting out as a small negative thought and, in the extreme, ending up being all-consuming. Am I saying something is more powerful than God? What’s Your Life Purpose?
We all have a purpose in life. It’s a God-given purpose. No matter how seemingly insignificant or earth-moving the world may deem that purpose, God deems your purpose to be special and unique. You’re not a puppet on God’s strings fulfilling that purpose. You have total free will in living your life. But there’s a road for you that is one of a kind and untraveled. Continue reading “What’s Your Life Purpose?”

Christmas Is Over. Christ Isn’t.
December 25th has come and gone. The trees are drooping in their stands and there are presents to return. The holiday is gone—the rush thankfully over—but fortunately the Savior is still here. He always is. Continue reading “Christmas Is Over. Christ Isn’t.”
Take Him Off the Cross

Continue reading “Take Him Off the Cross”

You or God?
Who comes first? Simple question. I do a lot of writing about God but I find myself asking who really does come first in my life. The answer should also be simple but it is tough if we are really honest with ourselves. The problem is the answer gets complicated just like we contemplate our lives. That’s because the answer is not simple. What??? Continue reading “You or God?”
Walk the Christmas Walk, Not the Talk!
For a lot of people, Christmas is the tree, presents, and maybe some good cheer. For a lot of Christians, Christmas is a time to celebrate the birth of Jesus, but in talk only. What Christmas should be is a time to live the birth of Jesus by “walking” Christmas, not just “talking” it. Continue reading “Walk the Christmas Walk, Not the Talk!”
We All Have a Mandela in Us
We are living through the passing of a man who changed the world. Nelson Mandela endured torture and imprisonment to change his world. He’s a very special man but he is only a man. Continue reading “We All Have a Mandela in Us”
The Darkness Getting Darker Before the Light
When we hit dark periods in our life it often gets darker before we see any light. In this season think back to Mary and Joseph fleeing the country with a baby on the way and then finding no place to deliver except in a barn. It had to get really dark for them before the brightest star in the night shone its light on them and the infant Jesus. Continue reading “The Darkness Getting Darker Before the Light”
