Jesus says, “RELAX!” He’s Got This.

It can’t be any clearer—“I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly.” (John 10:10). Those are Jesus words to us. So simple but so meaningful. He’s telling us to relax; He’s got this. Why we get so down, wander around looking for answers, and complicate life is beyond me.  Continue reading

You May Not Think You Are Special & Unique, But God Sure Does!

When God made you He threw away the mold. Even the closest of twins are totally unique. You are so very special in the eyes of God. And totally, absolutely unique. As such, you have a very unique purpose in life. Not some preordained, puppet-on-a-string purpose in life where God walks the path for you and pulls the strings. But a free choice purpose that God has designed and is yours to realize and fulfill—all out of your own free will.

The key to life is understanding your unique purpose in life and to live life to the fullest towards that purpose. Regardless of how small or insignificant that purpose may seem to you, it is monumental in God’s eyes. However, you will never understand your real purpose in life if you don’t LISTEN to/for God. Life is that very simple! Continue reading

Do You Demand Service or Serve?

There are two paths in life: one is demanding service and the other is serving. It doesn’t matter whether in your work or personal life. You are either the type of person that demands service or who wants to serve. It’s a good week to think about this—and really be honest with yourself!—as we contemplate how Jesus lived his life. So, which path are you on? Continue reading

We Are Clay; God is Sculptor

There are very few people who realize what God would make of them if they abandoned themselves into his hands, and let themselves be formed by his grace.

Saint Ignatius Loyola

We are the clay and God is the sculptor. He can’t form you if you don’t let him. There’s a beautiful, unique piece of art in you but you have to Continue reading

Do You See God in This Picture?

My wife and I were in New York City this weekend for some R&R and to go to the 9/11 museum. On a beautiful fall weekend there were more people out and about than you can imagine. There was a lot of “jostling” walking down busy streets and patience was not exactly the theme of the day. So, I took this picture and with it was thinking about “Where is God in this sea of humanity?” Continue reading

No, the Devil Didn’t Make You Do It!

The devil doesn’t make you do anything. The devil can’t make you do anything. What the devil does is whisper negatives in your ear and suggestions of what to do. You are the one with God-given free will. You make you do it. The devil just whispers and, when you start listening, he even shouts. Continue reading

The Devil Tries to Throw You Off Your Path

You have a path to God. It’s that road less traveled that, regardless of what life presents, leads to God. The devil tries his best to throw you off that path. He whispers in your ear anything that will make you doubt your direction in life. He’s great at telling you to turn right or left when the path leads straight ahead. His reason for being is to keep you from God. That’s because he knows that only with God will you be truly happy. Your unhappiness is his goal. Continue reading
